Un stage non-rémunéré : le Cincinnati Art Museum offre chaque année des stages d’été destinés aux étudiants. Ouvert aux candidats internationaux, il est important de se souvenir que si vous parvenez à obtenir ce stage, ce sera à vous de payer les frais d’accommodation, de transport et d’immigration (c’est-a-dire les frais associé avec les J1 visas).

Pour ce cycle, trois départements sont ouverts aux stagiaires :

 

Position: Curatorial Intern, Contemporary Art Department

This internship will assist the curator of the Contemporary Art Department with upcoming major exhibitions, including conducting research, and general department duties. There is no foreign language requirement for this position.

Requirements: Bachelors degree required, master’s degree or graduate student in Art History preferred. Transportation helpful, but not required. Foreign language not required.

Writing sample required with application. Writing sample should be a maximum ten pages with bibliography

Term: Summer 2012 (June 15 – August 3, 2012) Start date is flexible.

Hours: Flexible schedule M-F 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Minimum of 20 hours or 3 days per week required.

Position: Intern, Decorative Arts and Design Department

Intern will research contemporary works in glass, ceramics and wood in preparation for acquisition processing. The intern will also assist with special exhibition research on an as needed basis.

Requirements: Bachelors degree is required, masters degree or graduated student in art history preferred. Strong research and writing skills are essential.

Term: Summer 2012 (Negotiable term; minimum 8 weeks)

Hours: 2-5 days per week or minimum of 14 hours per week.

Compensation: Unpaid

Position: Intern, European Painting, Sculpture & Drawing

This internship position will be focused on 2 unrelated projects. On the one hand, the intern will systematically work on cataloguing the Art Museum’s substantial holdings of European miniature portrait paintings. The other project will be to assist the curator in mounting the Art Museum’s forthcoming ‘The World is an Apple: The Still Lifes of Paul Cezanne’ exhibition. This last task will require serious research skills and reading knowledge of French. Preference will be given to those who have the skills to work on both projects, although anyone with art history experience is encouraged to apply.

Requirements: College-level art history coursework, strong research and writing skills; reading knowledge of French required. (IMPORTANT : ça vous donne un avantage!)

Term: Summer 2012. Negotiable, term at least 6-8 weeks

Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday (or Tuesday – Friday)

Compensation: Unpaid
