Le Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum à New York offre un programme de stage de 10 semaines pendant l’été 2012. Le stage qui commence le deuxième lundi de juin est rémunéré, par une bourse de 2500 dollars. Une très belle opportunité pour ceux qui s’intéressent aux musées. Les demandes sont à envoyer avant le 1er mars. En fonction des besoins, les stages sont disponibles dans les départements suivants :

Conservation
Curatorial (which includes):
- Drawings, Prints, and Graphic Design
- Product Design and Decorative Arts

- Wall Coverings

Digital & Emerging Media

Eligibility
Internships are open to undergraduate students and graduate students who:
- Are currently enrolled in a degree-granting institution
- Have graduated from a degree-granting institution in the last 6 months
- Have evidence that they have been accepted into a degree-granting graduate program within 6 months.
Application should include:
1) Cover Letter
-state the museum department(s) (up to 3) where they hope to be placed.
-Those interested in the Curatorial department should state specific departments of interest.
2) Current Resume with:
a. Permanent and current contact information, an email address is mandatory
b. Date of birth
c. Social security number
d. Non-US citizens must state their citizenship and country of permanent residence
e. Official college transcripts with seal/stamp from undergraduate and graduate universities.
f. Two letters of recommendation: at least one must be from a recent or current instructor; the second may be from someone who knows the applicant but is not a relative. Letters should be in a sealed envelope with signature across the seal.
g. A 1 to 2 page essay describing career goals and specific areas of interest.

NOTE: If any item is missing from the application, the cover letter must clearly indicate what is missing and why. Materials sent solo are subject to the same deadline regulations and the applicants name must be clearly marked on exterior envelope and on the document.
