Applications are invited from art historians with a specialism in European or non-European art from the Medieval period to the 18th century. The person appointed will be expected to expand upon our
provision in pre-1800 art history. Preference may be given to a scholar who would make use of the university’s renowned holdings of Medieval books and manuscripts, or fine art prints, watercolors, and paintings from later periods. A non-Western specialism in Islamic, Persian, Indian, or East Asian art would be equally welcome. You should have a PhD, publications of high quality able to be submitted for REF 2013, and be committed to innovative teaching at all levels. The post is available from 1 September 2013.
