The Department of the History of Art invites applications for a professor who will be appointed at the rank of tenure in the field of Modern and Contemporary Art. We encourage applications from distinguished scholars specializing in post-World War II art, preferably with expertise in a range of media, to work in American and European art, with an interest in global perspectives. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in the History of Art and demonstrate a strong publication record and a commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Start date for the position is July 1, 2016. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
