Bibliotheca Hertziana : Predoctoral and Postdoctoral Fellowship

The  Bibliotheca Hertziana – Max Planck Institute for Art History in Rome is offering Predoctoral and Postdoctoral Fellowships for the academic year 2023/24 with the department of Prof. Dr. Tristan Weddigen. Under the general theme of Art of the Modern Age in a Global Context, the department welcomes projects in — but not limited to — one of its core research areas: Rome Contemporary, Materiality and Mediality, Italy in a Global Context, Transnational History of Art History, and Digital Visual Studies. The department’s website provides further information on these research areas. Candidates are at an early career stage and should propose a funding period of three to twelve months. Successful candidates will be expected to be part of a group of junior scholars related to one of the five topics and participate in the institute’s activities.
