Pétitions pour le maintien des oeuvres à la Gemäldegalerie de Berlin (suite).

Au début du mois de juillet,  l’APAHAU a informé la communauté des historiens de l’art français de la menace qui planait sur les collections conservées à la Gemäldegalerie de Berlin. Le professeur Jeffrey Hamburger vient d’expédier la lettre ci-dessous aux signataires de la pétition lançée aux Etats-unis :

Dear fellow petitioners,

I am delighted to report that as of this morning, Tuesday, July 31, we have reached the impressive total of 12,000 signatures. Although the pace of growth has slowed with the advent of the summer holidays (at least in the northern hemisphere), there is no reason why, having grown to this size, our numbers should not swell further. Please continue to do all you can to share the petition with like-minded friends and colleagues.
For those of you interested in following developments in the press, I continue to post them on the petition website. Most of the coverage, inevitably, is in German.
