Applications are invited for the position of Lecturer in Architectural History, fixed-term (3 years), in the Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (ESALA), University of Edinburgh. Applicants will have demonstrable expertise in the area of nineteenth-century or nineteenth- and twentieth-century architectural history, with knowledge of urbanism and urban history. Proficiency in the history of architectural theory and historiography, including familiarity with major research paradigms in the field, is highly desirable.
Preference will also be given to applications demonstrating scholarly focus in an area that complements existing staff expertise. Applicants will be expected to have a PhD or equivalent research experience and must be able to demonstrate a strong research profile through published outputs. The post holder will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research in ESALA and in the wider context of Edinburgh College of Art at the University of Edinburgh.
The post is full-time (35 hours per week) and fixed-term for three years from September 2018.
It is anticipated that interviews will take place w/c 25 June 2018.
Salary: £39,992 – £47,722 per annum
