The UCL History of Art Department is currently recruiting to five new academic and teaching roles.

1. Lecturer, History of Art and the Global South (3 positions available)
We are seeking to appoint three full-time Lecturers in Art and Visual Cultures of the Global South to begin on or before 1 September 2020. These new posts represent an exciting opportunity to enhance the diversity and inclusivity of the Department’s teaching and research. Appointing three specialists in the art and visual cultures of the Global South will enable UCL History of Art to further its aim to expand and decentre the curriculum, to integrate teaching on artistic production beyond the western tradition, and to support its commitment to advancing global understanding and cross-cultural awareness within the discipline. Deadline = 19 April 2020.

2. Lecturer, British Art c.1700 – 1900
We are also seeking to appoint an innovative scholar of British Art, c.1700-1900, whose research engages with current critical and theoretical debates in the discipline. This is an excellent opportunity to open a space to develop new directions in the field of British art, complementing but not duplicating areas of expertise that are already well represented in the Department.

3. Senior Teaching Fellow and Departmental Tutor
Finally, we are also recruiting a Senior Teaching Fellow and Departmental Tutor with a relevant teaching background to deliver a package of skills-based undergraduate teaching and to provide pastoral and organisational support for all taught and research students in the department. They will provide front-line support for students on a range of personal, welfare and academic issues, oversee the personal tutoring system, develop study abroad, widening participation and outreach activities.
