Appel à candidature : « Botin Foundation Art and Curatorship Grants 2012-2013 »

The Botin Foundation announces its Art and Curatorship Grants 2012-2013.

In 2012 the Botin Foundation is launching its 20th Visual Arts Grants and its 8th Exhibition Curatorship and Museum Administration Grants. In both cases the closing date for applications is May 11th at 2:00 p.m.

The Visual Arts Grants, which are international in scope and highly prestigious, are aids for education, research or personal projects for the 2012-2013 period and they are culminated with the organization of an exhibition Itineraries and the publication of a catalogue. The call for submissions is open to people of all nationalities with the only limit being that candidates must be between 23 and 40 years old for the education grants.

The closing date for applications is May 11th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. The registration form can be filled in online at www.fundacionboting.org . The rest of the documentation must be sent by regular post. .

The two grants for specialized education abroad in exhibition curatorship and museum administration are aimed at providing comprehensive career development in theory and techniques of managing museums and organizing exhibitions (curatorial studies). The destination institution must be geared toward contemporary art (from the avant-gardes to the present). Candidates must have Spanish nationality or demonstrate residence in Spain for at least five years prior to the application; be between 23 and 40 years old; and be fluent in the language of the country of the chosen educational institution.

Grant applications may only be submitted online through www.fundacionbotin.org until May 11th at 2:00 p.m.
