Appel à communication : « Hers & Hers: Women as Artists, Clients, and Consumers » (Sacramento, avril 2016)

Adélaïde Labille-GuiardThe past three decades have seen increased scholarship about women who were artists and women who were either sponsors of art projects or purchasers of art objects between about 1500 and 1800.

For the 12th Annual Art History Symposium at California State University, Sacramento (to be held on April 16, 2016, with a keynote address by Sheryl E. Reiss), we welcome proposals for 20-minute papers that provide new information and/or insights about women artists, clients, or consumers in the 16th, 17th, or 18th centuries. Please send:

A 300-word proposal
A short biographical statement (one paragraph)
