The Yale Institute of Sacred Music is accepting applications to its interdisciplinary residential fellowship for 2016-2017. Scholars and practitioners whose work in some way intersects the fields of the sacred and the arts are encouraged to apply. Disciplines include sacred music, ethnomusicology, cultural anthropology, ritual studies, history of art and architecture, religion and the arts, religion and literature, liturgical studies, religious studies, and the visual arts.
Fellowships are offered at both the senior and postdoctoral levels, and are available for either a semester or for the entire academic year. Fellows have the opporutunity to pursue a scholarly and/or creative project using Yale’s vast academic resources, and have the opportunity to teach. We especially encourage scholars examining the sacred and the arts in world religions to apply.
