Prof. Dr. Olivier Bonfait, Université de Bourgogne, will hold the Panofsky Professorship at the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte Munich in 2019. In connection with this professorship the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte seeks applications for a Panofsky Fellowship.
The fellowship is intended for doctoral students and postdoctoral scholars (who have graduated within the last five years) who are working on a project related to “The practice of drawing and painting, 16th-17th centuries”. Fellows are expected to maintain a presence at the ZI, to present the Fellowship project, and to partake in the activities of the ZI and the Institut für Kunstgeschichte of the LMU. The fellowship lasts three months and commences in April or in May 2019.
Graduate fellows will receive a monthly stipend of 2000 Euros. Postgraduate fellows will receive 2300 Euros per month. In addition, it will be possible for non-residents of Germany to take advantage of a one-time travel subvention.
In addition to a CV and a list of publications and presentations, applicants should submit a project précis of no more than three pages. Applications should be submitted electronically by February 22, 2019 to fellowships@zikg.eu.
