Le Centro Internazionale di Studi di Architettura Andrea Palladio de Vincenza organise un séminaire sur « Scamozzi et les livres » les 12 et 13 Juin 2015.
Ces rencontres célèbrent le quatre centième anniversaire de la publication du traité de Scamozzi, Idea della Architettura Universale (Venise, 1615). On se propose d’approfondir la compréhension du traité de Scamozzi comme encyclopédie d’architecture au XVIIe siècle (y compris dans son utilisation par les architectes et par les autres lecteurs de l’époque) et d’examiner l’utilisation des sources de Scamozzi, documentée par ses carnets et ses annotations marginales aux livres de sa bibliothèque.
Les contributions (limitées à 20 minutes) de chercheurs (y compris les historiens du livre et les bibliothécaires) sont les bienvenus. Les personnes intéressées doivent envoyer un résumé (pas plus de 250 mots) à Ilaria Abbondandolo (redazione@cisapalladio.org) avant le 15 Avril 2015. Les orateurs seront avisés avant le 1er mai 2015.
Scamozzi and books
The Centro Internazionale di Studi di Architettura Andrea Palladio, Vicenza, will organize a seminar on “Scamozzi and Books,” 12-13 June 2015. This symposium celebrates the four-hundredth anniversary of the publication of Scamozzi’s Idea della Architettura Universale (Venice 1615). The goals are to deepen an understanding of Scamozzi’s treatise as a seventeenth century architectural encyclopedia (including the use architects and other readers made of it at the time) and to examine Scamozzi’s use of his sources, documented by his notebooks and his dense marginal anotations to the books in his library.
Contributions (20 minute limit) from scholars (including book historians and librarians) are welcome. Those interested in participating should send an outline (not more than 250 words) to Ilaria Abbondandolo (redazione@cisapalladio.org) by 15 April 2015. Speakers will be notified by 1 May 2015.
