Bourse du CEEH à la fondation Roberto Longhi

With the support of the CEEH (Centro de Estudios Europa hispanica), the Fondazione di Studi di Storia dell’Arte Roberto Longhi offers a fellowship for a project about artistic relationships between Italy and Spain to be developed during the 2020-2021 academic year. The deadline for applications is June 20, 2020.

The requirements and application procedure are available here. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by the Selection Committee in Italian. Applicants are expected to have a basic knowledge of English and/or French as well.

Fellowship holders are required to live in Florence for the entire duration of the fellowship (except for research travels essential to their project) and attend all the seminars, lectures and other activities organized by the Foundation. The total amount of the grant will be of 5.400 Euro, paid in monthly installments over a period of nine months, beginning in October 2020 until June 2021.

The Fondazione di Studi di Storia dell’Arte Roberto Longhi was created in 1971 by testamentary disposition of the eminent Italian art historian Roberto Longhi (1890-1970) to promote and further the study of art history by keeping his cultural legacy and methods alive. Longhi bequeathed his art collection, photo archives and library “for the benefit of future generations” in his Florentine villa in via Fortini, which is now the site of the foundation bearing his name.
