Appel à candidature : programme de bourses du Center for Italian Modern Art (New York, 2016)

Giorgio Morandi, Nature morte, 1951In collaboration with several Italian and U.S. universities, the Center for Italian Modern Art awards a number of fellowships each year to support the study of Italian modern and contemporary art by scholars at the master’s, doctoral, and post-doctoral level. Citizens of all nationalities are eligible to apply. The intention of the program is to bring together young scholars from diverse academic backgrounds in an interactive and collaborative environment at CIMA’s New York location. While fellows may pursue their own research and study, they will also work on the « study topic » established by CIMA’s annual exhibition installation.

CIMA also awards at least one Travel Fellowship each year to candidates residing outside of Italy who wish to study in Italy at the master’s level or above at an accredited academic program, or who are Ph.D. candidates or other scholars who wish to conduct research for a dissertation, book, or other scholarly project.

The call for applications for the 2015-16 season is now open. The deadline for applications is January 30, 2015.

CIMA announces its 2015-16 fellowship call for research on Italian modern and contemporary art. Applicants are expected to develop proposals on the theme established by CIMA’s annual installation, which for the 2015-16 academic year will be the Italian painter and printmaker Giorgio Morandi (1890–1964). The deadline for the application is January 30th, 2015. Candidates will be notified by March 2, 2015. Application materials must be submitted in English.
