UC Berkeley Launches pieterbruegel.net, a Scholarly Research Site

Elizabeth Honig and a team of UC Berkeley researchers announced the launch of pieterbruegel.net, a new scholarly research site dedicated to Jan Brueghel’s famous father, Pieter Bruegel. After the success of our first site, janbrueghel.net, we are proud to present the next step in our efforts to digitally catalogue the Brueg(h)el family of artists.

Pieterbruegel.net builds off of its predecessor, janbrueghel.net, in style and function. Scholars can access all of the, drawings, prints, and paintings that Pieter produced. Individual pages within the site document each object’s physical data, provenance, and bibliography.
