The Department of Art History at the University of Vienna is one of the oldest and biggest centers for research and education in its field. A full post-doc position (university assistant) is available for 6 years from March 1, 2016. Extent of Employment: 40 hours/week. Occupation group in accordance with the collective agreement: §48 VwGr. 81 lit. b (postdoc).
Areas of work: Assistance of Prof. Raphael Rosenberg in teaching and research, research project leading to a second book (‘Habilitation’), independent teaching in art history (4 hours per week), and participation in the administration of the institute.
Profile: Excellent PhD in art history, one focus of research in the art of the Renaissance and/or in cognitive research in art history, team player.
Documents to be submitted: Letter of motivation, CV, specimen of writing (table of contents, introduction, one chapter and summary/conclusion of the PhD thesis), copies of diploma, copies of the reports on the PhD thesis (if available), exposé of a research project (second book/habilitation, max. 5 )
