Il convegno – promosso in collaborazione con Università degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza”, Università degli Studi Roma Tre, Università degli Studi della Tuscia di Viterbo, KNIR – Reale Istituto Neerlandese di Roma, Gallerie degli Uffizi, Comitato per l’Edizione Nazionale delle Opere di Pietro Aretino – è articolato in quattro sessioni: “A Perugia e a Roma: formazione, rapporti con il mondo di Raffaello e quello di Michelangelo, i Modi”; “A Venezia: il ‘triumvirato’ con Tiziano e Sansovino, Aretino patrocinatore e committente”; “Aretino ecfrastico”; “Aretino e la critica d’arte”.

Projet Replica : moteur de recherche iconographique par l’image

 

REPLICA, a project led by the DHLAB, aims to digitize the photolibrary in the Giorgio Cini Foundation (Venice), which has about 1 million photos of extraordinary historical and artistic value constituting an integral part of European cultural heritage. All the images will become available online and searchable through the use of pattern recognition.

The research at the DHLAB explores a variety of techniques, based on Convolutional Neural Network, able to identify structural and compositional elements common to works of art by identifying similarities between images at different scales: larger scales describing general patterns in the overall image, and smaller scales containing finer details. . . . → En lire plus

Journée d’études : « Une modernité inquiète : les arts en Italie 1900-1940  » (Paris, 21 mai 2015)

center 15 À l’occasion des expositions Dolce Vita ? Du Liberty au design italien (1900-1940) et Adolfo Wildt. Le dernier symboliste, une journée est consacrée à la sculpture et aux arts décoratifs italiens pendant une période où les styles foisonnent et façonnent une modernité complexe. Cette journée se conclura par une rencontre exceptionnelle avec deux grandes figures du design, Gaetano Pesce et Alessandro Mendini, qui évoquera l’influence du passé sur leur propre création.

Under the theme of “Mobility: People, Objects, Ideas,” scholars of Italian art history are invited to the Friedrich Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg to discuss current research in Italian art and architectural history.

The conference takes place 9-11 March 2020 and is divided into eight sections (two each in the mornings and afternoons); each panel will feature three papers with time for in-depth discussions.
