Grâce au mécénat de la Terra Foundation for American Art, l’Institut national d’histoire de l’art (INHA) a le plaisir de reconduire pour deux ans (2013-2015) le programme d’enseignement et de recherche sur l’histoire de l’art américain et des échanges artistiques transatlantiques, qui existe depuis 2009 sous forme de bourses distribuées à un(e) post-doctorant(e) et à deux professeur(e)s invité(e)s de langue anglaise.
Ce programme permet en effet d’inviter un Junior Visiting Professor et deux Senior Visiting Professors à enseigner en anglais l’histoire de l’art américain dans une et/ou plusieurs institutions d’enseignement françaises. Ils s’adresseront à des étudiants dont le niveau d’expertise variera entre la troisième année d’université (« licence ») et celui de la préparation d’un doctorat (Ph. D). Les chercheurs invités participeront également aux activités de recherche de l’INHA.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is seeking eligible candidates for the Kress Interpretive Fellowship for 2012-2013. This fellowship aims to cultivate students and young professionals interested in museum careers and focuses on curatorial and educational collaboration.

The journal Dada/Surrealism invites submissions for a special issue on exhibitions and display practices.
We seek essays that illuminate the relationship of Dada and Surrealism to exhibitionary practices past and present, from studies of early artist-organized events to considerations of recent blockbuster exhibitions and museum installations.  Contribution for reference work on American women’s history
AMERICAN WOMEN’S HISTORY: AN ENCYCLOPEDIA, a five-volume reference work in American women’s history, edited by Hasia R. Diner (New York University), to be published by Facts on File, is seeking a contributor for an entry covering the history of women artists in the United States. This 1000-word entry should provide a broad overview of women’s participation in the visual arts from the colonial period to the present. While the project can offer only a very small, indeed token, honorarium, the encyclopedia should get wide use and will offer the public the best in American women’s history scholarship.  L’une des clés pour profiter d’une bonne expérience pendant un stage ou une bourse à l’étranger est de développer ses compétences de communication. Cela ne signifie pas la perfection… vous ferez inévitablement des erreurs ! Mais pratiquer la langue vous aidera à vous sentir détendu, calme et confiant avant votre départ.

 The Morgan Drawing Institute will award one or two Post-Doctoral Fellowships and one Pre-Doctoral Fellowship for the 2012-13 academic years. Les stagiaires du MCA auraient l’occasion unique de participer au développement et à l’expansion des programmes du musée et des activités diverses.  The Smithsonian American Art Museum and its Renwick Gallery in Washington, D.C., invite applications for research fellowships in art and visual culture of the United States. A variety of predoctoral, postdoctoral, and senior fellowships are available. Fellowships are residential and support independent and dissertation research. The stipend for a one-year fellowship is $30,000 for predoctoral fellows or $45,000 for senior and postdoctoral fellows, plus generous research and travel allowances. The standard term of residency is twelve months, but shorter terms will be considered; stipends are prorated for periods of less than twelve months.
