This two-year postdoctoral fellowship supports advanced inquiry in the history of American art, conservation, and museum studies and is integrated with the postdoctoral fellowship program of the Courtauld Institute of Art Research Forum.  Long-term fellowships are available to post-doctoral scholars who want to be in residence at the Newberry for periods of four to twelve months. Applicants for post-doctoral awards must hold a PhD at the time of application (unless otherwise noted). These grants support individual research and promote serious intellectual exchange through active participation in the Newberry’s scholarly activities, including a biweekly fellows’ seminar.
