 The Willibald Sauerländer Award honours and supports early career research in the history of art history.
The prize funded by CONIVNCTA FLORESCIT Friends of the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte honors the memory of Willibald Sauerländer (1924-2018), from 1970 to 1989 director of the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte and an honorary professor at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich.
Consideration will be given to a Ph.D. dissertation, M.A. thesis, or publication. Applicants should be graduated. Le programme d’aide à l’édition de la Société d’étude du XVIIe siècle concerne des ouvrages de toute discipline, en langue française, portant sur la période 1580-1720.
Chaque année, trois ouvrages peuvent être subventionnés, dont au moins une thèse. Une préférence sera accordée aux ouvrages signés par un seul auteur.
Ces ouvrages doivent avoir été acceptés par une maison d’édition, dont l’accord et, si possible, le devis, seront joints à la demande.
